What Dreams May Come.....A visual feast.....

For the Mind, Body & Soul.

I've been wanting to write a long post on these but the visuals will speak for themselves. Work has me pulling out my hair so I thought I would share what the news would not.

The Beauty of The Chi.........and surrounding areas.

I've taken most if not all or I've scouted them out. My vision.

Oh, I'm put in mind of one of my bonnet bees - I have a whole thing about being aesthetically complementary or synced with the physical landscape and architecture I'm in. I wonder what I'd do if these murals were my landscape...

This is a feast! Thank you for posting all this glorious color and pattern.

Blown away! Great photos, Ledonna. You're a natural in front of the camera as well.

Thank you all very much I did not know how much I loved color but it is so vivid.  It reminded me of that movie From Robin Williams What Dreams May Come. With Cuba Gooding Jr.  Robin W.  goes through hell literally to find his wife will I think it was hell might have been purgatory.  It was bad but the color was so good.  Youtube the video if you can.    See ya later.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Hey Angie all around my travels in Chicago. I go everywhere. When I do I pull over and take pictures. I need ro show them to someone so I decided to show the family. I'm learning how to use Instagram but it's slow learning. My head is so full of information.

It challenging retaining on to information. So I'm gonna share them here. Cause I'm visual so I love e seeing pictures so I figured people wide not mind seeing what makes me me.

I LOVE what you said - regarding the news not showing the beauty of Chicago! The news only talks about the violence but look at all this beauty and creativity! Next time I'm in the city I'll have to make a point to look for murals - I don't think I've ever stopped to look and notice street art. Thanks for sharing!

Are you familiar with Hebru Brantley? He spoke at my office recently. VERY cool guy and great art.

  • Aida replied 7 years ago

What incredible murals! Thanks for sharing, you clearly appreciate your surroundings and seeking out vibrant, inspiring images. These are lively!

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Aida believe me it is not intentional. They are just there. I love happy accidents. Bring it universe.

Marianna in not aware of Hebrew B. But I'll do some Reasearch once settled. I know we have violence but I want to show our beauty also.

Chris it can be beautiful here.

Wow, that is some serious art, Ledonna. Thanks for sharing it. (It occurred to me, perhaps mistakenly, that in Seattle, those murals would be defaced by vandals before the paint had dried.) I love the photos where you're included, a living part of the art around you.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Firecracker, I think communities are intentionally taking care of these murals. I've seen some that have been painted over with new murals. Their are so many it's like a treasure trove of beauty. I saught out my 1st mural about 3 or 4 months ago now it's just like they are there. It always seems to just pop up. I know that I need to record the addresses of them but I love the randomness of it all.
