I just love that song of the same name.

Saturday in the Chi. was such a lovely day. After running a few errands we decided to take a walk in our local park.

So I've been struggling for a few months with what to carry Zi'Joy in. So much so I stuck with the car seat until last week. There are so many choices that it can get confusing.

So I was given this colorful Moby Wrap. It just so happened that i purchased one from the local store the day before. Ha I'm just glad i kept the receipt. Anyway this one is much more colorful and my style.

I'm still kinda trying to figure out how to wear it and with what clothing. I just decided to wear a simple jumpsuit snd headweap. I love the blues and greens in this fit and also the patter micing going on.

Zi'Joy aka Babby Nugget wore a cute flutter sleeve onesie with green polka dots. I swear I'm loving her onsies better than mine. Baby girl has snaps on her onsie. So so cute.

I have such a back log of pictures and reading to do. 3 in the morning seem a perfect time to post. Lol

Little Zi'Joy is growing by leaps and bounds. I'm finally coming to the end of my maternity leave. Although I had a difficult pregancy I'm having a wonderful maternity leave. We go to church and also to music, art reading play time at the local library 3 days a week. I've been able to meet a few other moms and day care providers.

This was 0ne of our recent looks for Library time. It has been in the 90s here for the past week. So the goal was to he as put together as possible yet wearing light weight clothing.

I've worn kelly green top and headwrap before for my neices graduation. It's such an airy top. I layered a pretty sheer poncho over it. Denim leggings and denim shoes completed my look. My earings are custom made.

Zi'Joy has the loveliest onsies and hats. She may have 2 wadrobe changes a day.

Picture 12 Baby is growing so fast. Let's see we also attended a local Fleek Market event. Our outfits were lovely. I'll have to recreate them soon. It was to hot to take to many pictures.

The heat would not let us be great.

Picture 10 Zi'Joy had her 2 months shots this week in the purple fit. Little one was a champ with those. Mommy cried more.

Picture 11 was at church this past sunday. I choose to wear baby in the baby wrap called a moby wrap. I love it and so does baby nugget.

13 is her 1st night sleeping throughout the night. I am so happy.

As ALWAYS I love feedback or just stoping in to say whats up.

Or should I say long lost family. Haha I crack myself up all the time.

I have taken so many pictures and living life and posting on FB and taking of baby nugget (Zion'Joy) life as a temporary stay at home mom aka maternity leave has me all over the place. Okay enough with the excuses.

Today was our Sunday Church Flow. I wanted our fits to compliment each other instead of that mother daughter matchy matchy which we do with our camo. When I look back at our pictures and life I want her to know she is a reflection of me but her own individual.
Can you believe baby is 2 months old? Shots at the end of fhe week.

We are fully thrifted. I've worn everthing before except for the head wrap and baby bag. The pants a pinstripe wideleg strechy pant of some type of rayon that wears like iron. I need them hemed but i dont want to spend the money. Probably lazy. I know bad donna LOL.

Zi'Joy is wearing a pink tutu short thingy. Denim jacket that was tied at the back a simple white onsie and striped socks.

It just so happend that i picked her outfit first and my headwrap and cuffs and collar on my jacket were on the color family of what baby was wearing.

Did you know they have names for EVERYTHING now?

So baby wear is just carrying your baby in a sling or wrap close to the body. I'm almost 7 weeks post delivery but, I had yet to purchase a stroller or carrier besides the car seat. I know bad mommy. Lol not really.

There are so many on the market being plus size is an added challenge. Most stores dont have them out so you can try them on. I swear it's just like fashion. There is no one size fits all. After researching, reviews and youtube my brain kinda shut down.

Finally i just got tired of carrying the car seat everywhere. The weather is getting beautiful out here and I want us to go out. So I finally made a trip to the store to purchase. Armed with great information. So we are finally ready to be mobile.

My recent birthday I decided go wear you guessed it Camouflage and also baby nugget. I often time wonder how much different camo I have in my wadrobe. I'm starting to collect it for baby Zi'Joy also.

So here we are with our outing a small family lunch at a local restaurant for the birthday.

The dress I'm wearing is one of the few I kept and wore during pregancy. I donated a whole bunch of clothing to a plus size pregant mom.

Hey family!

On this day May 9, 1974 I was born exactly 43 years ago today. Every year God shows up and shows out. I'm a strong faith beliver. The saying goes if you want to see God laugh tell him your plans abd then watch him work.

I believe that God or the Universe is having a harty laugh with me. I invite you to laugh and celebrate with me. Every year for the past 5 years I do something for my birthday. Im not a traditional person.

2012 it was a concert by a artist named Ledisi. (picture 1)

2013 it was a Patti Label concert (picture 2)

2014 it was a trip to Washington DC and New York.(pictures 3&4)

2015 it was a trip to New Orleans (picture 5)

2016 it was a photoshoot for myself. (pictures 6&7)

2017 well my greatest gift of all my babby nugget aka Zion'Joy.

This past weekend I celebrated my Zion'Joy with a Sip & See and the on Sunday with a Baby Blessing & Dedication. I was surrounded by friends and family. I would have it no other way to celebrate. We also went to our local Fleek Market with my very active thrifting group Sassy Thrifters. So much fun to be had.

Today as always It will be a low key day.

So what I wore for the baby blessing and the Fleek Market.

Baby Nugget Blessing:
I've worn this top and skirt before for my youngest nieces graduation. This time I added the mud cloth shrug jacket. Baby ZJ wore a beautiful gifted Christening gown in the traditional white.

For the Flerk Market we both did a wadrobe change:
ZJ wore a green jumper with striped tights.
I wore a black girs rock dress a green head wrap and the shrug again.

I've been lucky enough to be blessed with a great life. I thank you all for going on this journey with me.

A Sip & See - is an event where you can sip a beverage or beverages of your choosing and eat a light snack and see the baby. Give well wishes, blessings and gifts and then leave. loved it much better than the pressure of having a baby shower. Babby Nugget came before we could have the shower.

When you think you will be the only one at your party.

You ever had that feeling? You know the one where you invite the family and friends and it's just you all alone.

Um Yeah that one.

Well that is my fear but that is NOT what happened.

Today we celebrated the life and birth of Zion'Joy aka Baby Nugget Offically. It was exactly the way it needed to be and we sipped and we saw.

Stories were told and the memories were shared.

God and the universe places people exactly where they needed to be and I'm greatful. All was as it needed to be.

What I wore:
Another pair of print wideleg pants a denim off the shoulder jacket actank underneath the jacket and a peacock belt at the waist and yellow headwrap to top it off.

I got my 1st ever real mother's day card and gift.

Fb has a an aplication called On This Day. On the Day of my Sip & See this popped up on my time line.

Happy Mom's day to all you MOTHERS out here in FB land. I hope someone is loving on you properly. Having said that I am very grateful to have had a loving mother I am also very grateful to my loving sister for my nieces and nephew.

Hey Family

I hope this post finds you well in your corner of the world. Today is May the 4th and as some know it is Star Wars day around the world. More on that later.

Today was a jam packed day. We had another learning center visit. We went on our 1 st walk to the local park and saw these 2 beauties picture 11. Finally we went to the local Library and had Star Wars movie night and activities.

I put baby nugget in a onesie and a pink fleece star jumper. I wore a denim waterfall jacket Print plazzo pants and a blue v-neck tshirt.

My neice joined us for our walk and to the library for movie night. We watched Rouge One. It is a long move but very well done. I was skeptical of Disney but they are doing a great job.

Baby Zion had a wadrobe change and went as the 1st ever Jedi mini mouse padewan (a jedi in training) . She lasted until 8 pm then went to sleep. She did pretty good considering this was her 1st full day out. Picture 10 is what I wore to my own Drs visit. These were pre baby clothes I love these wideleg jeans and this print top just says summer. My body is so different now but, I am happy I could fit into this. It felt like coming home.

I hope this post finds you all well whatever corner of this beautiful world you are living in.

Just a quick what I wore post as today we are visiting Learning Centers for baby nugget in our area. Who knew you have to take tours and be on competitive waiting list for a new born? My goodness.

So my thought process went like this:

I feel like we are going to be judged.
What does one wear to interviews and tours?
Should I dress conservative or just like myself?
Why am I so nervous?
Why am I stressing out?
No need to stress I'm paying them. They should feel lucky to be considered for my Zion'Joy.

So I decided to just be my wonderful charming self. Lol. Thst means no stress and just pull my look together. We have a number of visits today. I wanted to project a certain image but be true to myself and Zion'Joy.

Theses pants are a workhorse. They were with me before during and now after pregancy. Pinstripes lycra wideleg. Makes me feel great.

Leopard print dropwaist peplum.
Brown print headwrap, backpack baby bag and right now the most stylish shoes I can fit into.

baby nugget is very casual track suit.

Side note. I dont think my poor feet will be going back to Size 11 shoes. I've stretched from the pregancy. I'm ni3w a size 12. So I'm donating my pretty shoe collection.

Pattern & Pattern Mixing

So this is our second day out i. A row and it was just beautiful outside. Yep another Dr's visit. This time for me. Want a quick ego boost have a baby. I lost 25 pounds after baby.

Today my sister picked the outfit for baby nugget. Army camo and her onesie said major cutie. With cute pink socks. I was able to find a cute grreen & plaid hat for Zion'Joy.

I decidef to echo her outfit. A nice black dress camo shirt jacket. I love my camo boots and decided to up the pattern game by adding my favorite snake print Leggins. A nice forest green hat to top off my look and here we go.

The chery blossom on the trees were so amazing.

The height of my social calender seems to be our Dr's visits. Lol What else can you do with a new born? As each day goes by baby nugget is getting bigger and stronger. Her face shape changes everyday.

Today I walked around the block. Yeah me you go Ledonna! Small goals and accomplishments seem like big mile stones. The weather has been very nice lately so I've been able to enjoy my outside time.

On to what We Wore:

Zion'Joy did a bit of pattern and color mixing today wearing a green and white striped turtle top. A pair of pink squiggly line paints and for a real pop her smurf hat with a cute face on it.

I decided to do a bit of pattern mixing myself. I have no idea how to describe this top. It is huge has arm holes and a neck hole and is drapes very well. I like the print on it and have 2 more in green and brown. A grey and white camouflage hat spiked earings black slip on tennis shoes, leggings and arm warmers complete my look.
