A little Apocalyptic...

Sometimes everything goes boom in a good way.

We have been still out here getting our life. Today was filled with so many great things. I’m learning how to take more selfies so I think I may be able to post a bit more. Anyway today we went thrift shopping at our local Fleek Market and was gifted these great hula hoops we then went to the park and played for about 3HOURS.

This evening at our local park we met a group of women. A club called 40+ Double Dutch Club simply amazing. Zi’Joy heard the skipping of the rope and wanted to go over. These women ranged in age from 41. To 53. They are most certainly the bomb. I wished I could post video

We played:
Double Dutch
Chinese Rope
(Jump in jump out jump side to side jump on jump in jump out)
Jacks
Hula Hoops

And had the best 2 hours. They are out there every Saturday. Brought back great memories. We also took some great selfies. My daughter found this tree branch and we used it as a walking stick and prop for our photo shoot. We are on fb if you would like to follow us MidLife Melanin MaMa

    can't say it any better than toronto girl did! Your daughter has morphed from babygirl to daughter so quickly! And love the simple activities - laughing at memories of trying to do the hula hoop.. I never really mastered it, but I think I was pretty good at jump rope :-) She will have some of those same memories later on!

    This is so beautiful! Powerful is the word that came to my mind, too. And play- I wish more adults knew how to play like you do. Good for body and soul.

    Ledonna! How wonderful to see you and Nugget. She has gotten so big. You guys look to be having a wonderful time. Sounds like a great group of women. I loved playing jump rope when I was a kid. I'm impressed with the little one's skill. Love your hair!

    Hello ladies thank you for taking the time to read and respond. Y’all better believe my 45 year old bones felt all the jump rope and hula hoop activities on Sunday. I had to take a hot soak after that lol. It so good to be able to pop back in a see you all doing well.

    Baby Nugget has grown and even though we take a multitude of photos I see her evolving and morphing into this beautiful child. I’m not even ready

    They grow fast for sure! My oldest baby is almost 29 - crazy!

    I always enjoy reading about your adventures with your daughter!  How fun to come across the DD club!  I bet that was amazing to watch.  

    Is Nugget styling herself now? Luv the blues and purples in her outfit.  You are looking fit and strong!

    You both look great for a day of adventures!  I haven't jumped rope in years but I was really good at it when I was a kid.  Hula hooping I can still do but not for very long.

    Sounds like a fantastic day. I was never great at jump rope but I sure loved to hula hoop lol. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pics. You both look great.

    Look at your sophisticated tonal matching, both of you! Sounds like you got a great workout, if it gave you DOMS the next day (yes, I know that isn’t the way to measure, but I sure as heck feel like I did a thing when I’m that sore later). Very cool that little one is already double-dutching!
