80's Custom Thrifted flare...

Hello Family,

I hope your day is going well. On this day it
was such a beautiful day out and I decided to wear this look for church
and the rest of the day. This look is not for everyone. I got alot of
the side eye in church but I am used to that. I don't have a name for
this skirt pants fit but I love it.

This is another creation by
Tem and he told me this is a reincarnation of a version of an 1980's
look. I thought I would go with a funky vintage type look. It has
been hot, hot, hot here in the Chi (Chicago) so I wanted a cool look.
This off the shoulder look was perfect weather. The neck piece was a
belt and can be used as a headband. The leather cuff was a belt that I
cut into a cuff.

    (These are sarong pants). 

    You are Queen Confidant Poser, Ledonna. Your verve is inspiring, and I love how unaffected you are. Side-eyes won't ruin your day. Quite right!  

    A fabulous outfit for a HOT day. Nice choker detail too. Rock on.

    Love this look!

    Is there an issue with bare shoulders in church? I know nothing about it but wondering if that was the side-eye issue.

    Hey Alaskagirl  I had a shawl that I used to cover my shoulders  it was a vintage knit shawl  I felt like it was very appropriate.  I wonder if sometimes people want to say something and just don't and I wind up getting that hard long stare.

    Boy, Tem is a master of clothing construction. I want to know how he pieced the skirt together so well (!) How he cut the fabric, everything.

    This color combination is quite subdued compared to the bright colors you often wear but it is just as fab on you as the brights!

    Maybe some of that side-eye was admiration You can always hope :-)

    Gorgeous look for a hot summer day!!! I absolutely adore your sarong pants... and I would not hesitate to wear them in my own church. Perhaps the side-eye was just people trying to take in your fabness. :-) You make a bold and beautiful statement with your outfits. I personally love that about you.

    Lyn D I love being ahead of the trends.  Because I always wear these things.  It will be my season finally.

    What a great outfit. I love those sarong pants, and the taupe top and sandals give a cool, icy look with the dark blue. This is a great look for a hot day. I really like the cuff and necklace that you made from belts--stunning and creative!
    Maybe the church ladies wondered where your hat was? You could treat them to a colorful head wrap next week. :)

    As a church goer I could not help but give you a sideways stare as no one looks this fabulous at church. You and Tem are a match made in stylish heaven, this is beautiful.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!  I as much love your pictures/poses as I do the outfit.  I think fashion/style is attitude as much as anything.  You have that.  I want to emulate that.

    You have such a great attention to detail! The accessories really make the outfit. And the sarong pants look perfect on you. I love your confidence!

    I was going to say that it was probably the bare shoulders that garnered the stares, but if you were wearing a shawl, then there's no need to stare unless someone is captivated by your awesome fabness. :) I usually wear a lightweight cardigan to cover up at church on such occasions, but I love your idea of a shawl and must find one!
