The baby bump

Hey Family,

Although these pictures were taken a few weeks ago I just wanted to show my bump. I was about 11 or 12 weeks here.
Watching a baby bump grow is like watching paint dry. Except for when you look at the pictures.

On this day Tem and I decided to scope out some new to us thrifts around chicago. We hit the mega one first 3 floors. I was so tired after the 1st one. We did not find anything but they do have a wide selection of baby clothing.

On our way to eat we saw this beautiful mural and I just had to have pictures. Don't you just love the colors in the in the mural? Tem really looked great in front of the mural. He is alway so dapper. I'm trying to borrow forever some of his stylish hats. Although he likes taking pictures of me he is not really a picture taker.

I've been wearing much of the same things snd on this day this is a sweater dress with a standard pair of leggings. Tem made my head wrap from some left over material and I love my plaid yellow and grey wool jacket. The boots were a bonus. They are a sand color. I'm determined to still wear my heels for as long as possible. I like this fit but I'm growing and will eventually have to go shopping to fit my new plus size pregnancy.

Tem has actually completed some things for me to wear and a good friend has made some beautiful dresses and fits for me.

Well until next time.

As usual all are welcome. Lurkers, Comment, and anyone inbetween.

As usual, your post is a feast for the eyes. The mural is just beautiful, and you make such a stylish couple! (I'm wondering if Tem chose his look to match the artwork, because that's the sort of thing I'd do.)
I love the play of contrast and proportion in your outfit, and you're wearing the bump very well too.

You look stunning and absolutely radiant. I love your outfit, especially the fabulous plaid jacket. And your Tem is a handsome dude. You make a very stylish pair. Wow -- that mural is a gorgeous piece of art! Hugs to you. Be sure to give yourself plenty of rest and pampering. :-)

Zibbits, LACeleste, harmonica Thank you it was such a beautiful early fall day.

Appropriate we just wandered upon the mural and I needed to git his picture in front of it. I wished I had a real camera to get its vividness.

kiwigirl/Sally I did not know how exhausted I be. I take back everthing negative I thought about pregnant women. Truth is I never thought about it. I do what I can when awake.

You look great and I love the mural!  Being pregnant is very hard work so take good care of yourself.

  • Gigi replied 7 years ago

Wow, that is a huge thrift store! I would be completely overwhelmed.

You are looking stylish as usual. I'm glad you're still able to wear your heels. :)

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

    Fun and stylish!

  • Sara L. replied 7 years ago

What a beautiful mural! Your outfit looks stylish and comfy. Your comment comparing a baby bump to watching paint dry, made me laugh. So true! I take daily outfit pictures and it was fun to see the change over the course of the pregnancy.

  • Kate replied 7 years ago

You and Tem both look great. I love the gray and yellow plaid and the head wrap. Boots are fab too.

All the best to you both.

  • unfrumped replied 7 years ago

    Lookin' good!
Style is always challenging throughout pregnancy, but you are doing very well!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 7 years ago

You are adorable and stylish as ever. I love that outfit! The booties, jacket, and head wrap are so nice together. You are right--Tem does look dapper, and what a background the mural provides for both of you. I would be exhausted if I tried to shop a 3-story thrift store!!Thrifting is hard enough to begin with, let alone trying to cover three packed floors.

  • Bijou replied 7 years ago

You and Tem both look amazing, I especially love the pop of colour from your head wrap. Being pregnant is very tiring, especially when you suffer from the morning, noon and night sickness.

  • RobinF replied 7 years ago

That is a pretty great mural and agree that Tem is looking very dapper. Love your dress and head wrap but especially that bump! Such an exciting time in your life.

  • Angie replied 7 years ago

You BOTH look Killer to the power of Killer.

  • anne replied 7 years ago

Great looks here! And wow, I've never seen a thrift shop like that!

Hope you do feel better at some point in the pregnancy.

So cute that Tem is making onesies!

  • deb replied 7 years ago

You are so darn cute, woman!! And so is Tem.

  • Aquamarine replied 7 years ago

The cutest couple ever! Growing a baby is akin to climbing a mountain...exhausting stuff.

  • Beth Ann replied 7 years ago

Amazing looking couple!  Love your headwrap and boots particularly, and Tem's hat is terrific!  (baby bump suits you!)

  • Jaime replied 7 years ago

A sight for sore eyes! You, Tem and the mural all are gorgeous.

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

You are all three of you GORGEOUS! And so's the mural. You're right that Tem's dapper in his hat and brights, and you look fab in the poncho. Hope you are able to get some rest in these rough times.

  • SandyG replied 7 years ago

Ledonna, you look wonderful and baby bump is adorbs! Tem is so cute. Now go and get some rest. Multiple hugs to all of you :)

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Thank you for all of the concern and wonderful responses.

As of today we are 18 weeks and 2 days. Slowly but surely baby is doing well and growing. We just had a checkup and heard a beautiful healthy heartbeat.

I try to do 1 major thing on the weekends and spends of the rest of the time resting. Work and commuting takes most of my energy and day. But, we are moving forward slowly but surely.

I apologize for not everyone individually but I do read everthing.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Your baby bump is a fabulous accessory. Getting those fabulous new things to wear will be a big boost just when you are feeling huge. Most of us also need them for awhile after the baby is born too. Take care of yourself.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Thank you Joy I just wore some new items this weekend. I'll post pictures later. Starting to feel somewhat like my old self.

  • goldenpig replied 7 years ago

You look fantastic, Ledonna, you are just glowing! Love your baby bump style. You and Tem are such a stylish couple and how great that he is making clothes for you! Lucky girl!

  • Barbara Diane replied 7 years ago

You and Tem and baby bump all look great! And that is an amazing mural.
I've never been in a thrift shop that had multiple floors.

  • jenanded replied 7 years ago

    Super cute all round!

  • viva replied 7 years ago

I haven't been on much lately but just had to comment here, ledonna. You look wonderful and these pictures - as always - are gorgeous. How do you manage to find such amazing street art, every time??? I think you must summon it, with your energy.

Sending continuing thoughts of good health and happiness.

I hope you've had enough energy to take that baby out for some housing!   Great photos, they made me smile.

  • Diana replied 7 years ago

You and Tem both look amazing. I love that you always manage to find beauty all around you. You might feel like you're in a style rut but you sure don't look like it!

PS- I have been reading your posts in the other, off topic threads and I always find myself nodding along, thinking "LeDonna is so wise and compassionate and thoughtful." That and your ability to see beauty and joy everywhere - it's what this world needs so much right now. I truly think you are going be an amazing mom.

  • lady replied 7 years ago

    You look lovely!
Beautiful mural. How awesome you have lovely friends who can make pieces for you. That's priceless!

I found legging indispensable during my plus size pregnancies. Often I wore my same clothes in different ways all the way to the end. Depending on how you carry you may not need to invest much at all.

  • tulle replied 7 years ago

Oh Ledonna, congratulations!  I remember those days of sudden, intense hunger and exhaustion in public places!  Rest and enjoy.  Your vibrant photos are a testament to your happiness.
