The Afterglow of HOUSE...

Dancing that is!

Hey Family How are you doing this day? Me? I am fine thank you for asking. Today on my F.B. Feed these series of Pictures popped up. I love them they remind me of where I was at in 2014, 2015 and where I currently am at 2016. So in tribute to these memories and pictures and Let us travel back in time. To a few what I wore on This day in HOUSING.

1st set of Pictures WIW
Tem and I went out dancing and we chased the sun home I mean we literally spent the rest of the time talking and watching the sun rise.

We will start with the 1st Picture This is a representation of what I wear when I go out HOUSE Dancing:
Camouflage Hat- this is a custom made one of a kind hat from husband and wife designers Step-n-Ty. This hat is full of goodness multiple pockets. I can stick my keys and money in the pockets of the hat when dancing.

Earrings- Thrifted I love dangling earings because I love the feel of the movement when dancing.

Grey Tank Top-purchased from a local cheap store for about $4 I bought 3 in multiple colors. It has a shark bight hem.

Mesh Top-Thrifted

Camouflage shorts with ties on the side-Thrifted

Boots- Love these and have them in multiple color ways paid about $20 each

Knee High Socks- Thick socks for HOUSE dancing so that I will not bet blisters while dancing.

2nd Set was from 2015 "on this day"This is what I wrote back then:
I love Camo and animal print apparently. Went to the Daley Plaza to HOUSE glad I brought my camel pack for water and gator aid and took a taxi back to work instead of waking. I think I lost 2lbs.
I get to work in the heart of Downtown Chicago and I love my career and being able to go to free events.Like this HOUSE EVENT.

Camo/Animal print Head Scarf Thrifted

Camo Tank Top

Prescription Sun Glasses

3rd Set was from 2014 ":on this day" This is what I wrote back then:

Ok, truth time I about lost my mind I thought I was 16 again and jacked my body with a fine man. Then I almost passed out. So thankful for Traci Williams my house buddy. This the face of 3hr Dehydrated House lol. But I went hard until the end. Look at that hair. Lol.

I wore a short overall set and lovely jewelry. My hair was just taken down from dreadlocs that my sister helped me unloc.

Jewelry was all custom made.

Of course I included a picture of Tem. Because what has changed is that I have a partner who can keep up and surpass me in dancing to the rhythm that is HOUSE.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and comment or just Lurk all are appreciated.

Ledonna, Wow!!! First of all the murals are so beautiful and moving. And secondly...just...I found it extremely moving to get a glimpse of Tem and the two of you together. He looks like a fine man and I can see he has respect and deep appreciation for you.

Your outfit and especially the special hat are also amazing. What a nifty design. So you don't have to carry a bag -- you can dance free hands and just have fun but still keep your stuff with you.

Love the camouflage and really digging the hat. Perfect for a househead like myself. It has been a minute since I have been able to jam to my house music. I'm glad that Tem can keep up. My knees like to scream at me the following day.I never thought about wearing thick socks, makes good sense.
    The murals are beautiful.

Ledonna: Just wanted to let you know that I read each of your posts. I look at every photo. I don't comment very often, but I always read.

I really like your outfit in 1, and a stylish hat with pockets is such a brilliant idea. The murals are ah-may-zing. Lucky you, indeed, to live, work, and play in these vibrant surroundings.

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Your posts are always so much fun. I love how your special hat and jeans/leggings are both camo and the top has movement for dancing. The murals are colorful and energetic.

  • skylurker replied 4 years ago

Are you dancing with boots ? Nevermind - you and your man sure know how to rock hats.
    Beautiful wall, too.

  • RobinF replied 4 years ago

Wow, love those murals. As always, I enjoy your funky style. Looks like you had a great time!

  • Karie replied 4 years ago

Great pictures! I really like the outfit in #1. The last time I was visiting my family we saw murals like that in Philly. I love it!

Ohh, it's really fun to see you in photos over the last couple of years or so. You've always looked amazing. I am loving this years style so much though Ledonna. Love that hat! What a neat idea it is.

As usual the photos are all so artistic and I love the see all the fabulous murals and  the photo of you and Tem is gorgeous!

Suz- the murals are in Tem's neighborhood I love them. Tem is that guy lol
I just carry an ID and money when dancing so it is all good.

latishalay- alright now HOUSE 4 LIFE.  Oh I take aspirin and my vitamins drink water and gator aid before I go.  lol Thick socks cut down on the blisters.

Echo- well thank you very much. I was a lurker or reader for many years before I had to take the plunge YLF is an amazing place.

Firecracker thank you We have to see the beauty even in the midst of everything else going on.

Joy Thank you, I realize that I am not going to be that old soldier with the hats and the pins. I'm gonna be that one with a wardrobe full of camo. lol

Skylurker Yes, boots lol.  I wear boots most of the time anyway and well when you HOUSE it is more a sport and like a mosh pit except we don't bump into each other intentionally lol.  A lot of women wear heels and look very pretty but I gets my work out on.

RobinF it was fun chasing the sun home then rolling in to work. I feel as if we can do once or twice a week.

Kari My dad is orignally from Philly and they have some of the best out there.  Maybe that is where Chicago got it from.

DianeG- It is sort of my style evolution.  lol I love my current style and yes Tem is a pretty good picture taker. hahaha

I am glad everyone likes the murals  I'm just gonna make them a permanent feature when I happen upon them.
