Over all a good day..

This was a recent outfit I wore to go shopping for some gymshoes. My feet have spread to a size 12 while little nugget is growing and most of my beautiful heels and boots have been retired for a minute. I have a large selection so I have some roomy size 11 I can still wear.

This was a layered fit. A knit long sleeve top, Denim overalls multiple buttons, hand made hat and puffer vest and neck wrap scarf Hoodie thing. These heels although high are leather and have a rubber sole pretty comfortable. I've had them forever.

Can you see my white socks? A sister was not gonna bend down to pull my pant leg down. Oh no Haha

So my mission at work is to walk and to move so I can be healthy Hence the gymshoes. I walk about 4-5 times a day and walk stairs in the building I work in. Shoe shopping was successful and so was shopping for a pair of low profile solid grip boots for winter. I need slip on boots and shoes now. Lol no buckles.

Next up finding a proper coat. Ugh plus size pregnancy. I thought being plus size had its hilltop and Valley experiences. Not complain just saying. Suggestion for coats are welcome.
I need,a rugged outdoor type of coat for my commute.

As always we love comments even if it's just a hello.

So Hello Family. Now you have to say it back.

You have an infectious smile! Great color pairing and you look cozy and stylish too! Must be chilly where you are. Looking great as always!

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Hey Kellygirl, Yep Chicago is weird in its weather you have to be prepared for everything.

  • approprio replied 7 years ago

I love the olive green with the light wash denim (chambray?) That cuff! I'm having a white sock moment too. They're all the rage around here.

And coats? I'd be looking around for oversized layers and ponchos of any variety if I were in your shoes, but you knew that. How about a 50's swing style?

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

    That top looks so cozy!

  • cindysmith replied 7 years ago

Is that a sweater or a sweater and cowl? Whatever it is I think I need some of it. I get cold if the temperature drops below about 76 (summer in the deep south has really warped my senses of hot and cold).

As usual, love your fit! And seconding Kelly girl, that smile is awesome! It is a bit of proof that you have a lot of fun with your wardrobe and your life

Saying hello back! And also complimenting your boots and your bracelet. You look happy and comfortable, and that's always a good thing!

  • replied 7 years ago

You changed your icon.  Good for you.

  • Bijou replied 7 years ago

Your half way there with the little nugget! You look beautiful and I'm glad to hear that you got some shoes to wear. A swing coat is a great idea, I had a cropped swing jacket throughout my pregnancy and when I wore it some people did not even know that I was pregnant!

  • Helen11 replied 7 years ago

    Hello!
Love the neck wrap/scarf/ hoody thing, it looks very cosy.
Comfy shoes are a must.  Hope you're all keeping well.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Helen11, Cynthiawalkers, the neck scarf Hoodie I got from Walmart they had multiple color for $9.00 you can wear it as a hood also.

Bijou, Apporiprio almost there this weekend will be 21 weeks yeah. A swing coat sounds great. I'll be on the lookout.

Sterling, Rachylou, Kalyn thank you I'm happy and we are healthy.

You look adorable. Kellygirl is right -- your smile is infectious. Kudos to you for getting in all that walking. I hear you on the need to find a suitable winter coat that can accommodate both you and little nugget. Perhaps a wool swing coat would work. It may not be quite as warm as a puffer... but it would not be fitted in the waist. You could always add another layer underneath (heavy sweater or jacket) on the coldest days. Landsend has some nice plus size swing coats.

They also have a more roomy puffer type coat called "Won't Let You Down" that might also work. It does not have the usual nipped in waist that most puffers have.

Fun combo of denim with olive. And if those heels are comfortable halfway through, you are indeed a rockstar. But we knew that.. A swing coat may work well, just has to be warm enough. A cocoon silhouette may also be a possibility, depending upon cut.

    All the best!

Hi Ledonna! Looking great! I love your outfit and overalls, that shape with the tapered leg also fits me well and is very comfortable. Good for you that you are making it a point to walk more at work, that will help you stay healthy. Nice shoes, too!
I agree with El Cee that the Lands End coats sound like a good idea. You need good protection from the weather in Chicago.

    Great overalls!

  • JAileen replied 7 years ago

I love your outfit. The vest, the overalls, the boots - all fab.

My son and his SO just moved to Minnesota. We visited in October and it was already cold! :( For their birthdays we gave them money for parkas. She is plus sized, and found a nice down parka at Lands End. They're doing a special today - 50 percent off one item. It might be worth checking out.

You CUTIE PATOOTIE. I love your vibrant posts. You are soooo full of verve, Ledonna. I love it.

  • cheryl replied 7 years ago

Hello and can i just say how adorable you are!

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Thanks everybody.  I appreciate you all.  I have been checking out your responses and will check out the online shops because I need a winter coat for real.  I spent all my time typing on another post but, know that I have read each and every response and I thank you all for your support and journeying with me.  (Said an old tired lady.)  Did I mention I was 42 carrying my first child.  Isn't  GOD good with his jokes.  I can see him chuckling to himself.  lol

  • Kate replied 7 years ago

Oh my, love the mixed greens with the blue and that fabulous smile. Those shoes are fab.

I like the idea of a poncho or swing coat for you for winter. I have an olive wool poncho type coat with a stand up collar that is warm as toast and easy to layer under if need be.

  • El Cee replied 7 years ago

Ledonna -- Didn't you hear that 42 is the new 30? Besides... I really did think you were in your early 30's. (Not kidding.) You have such a youthful vibrancy. But yes... I think our creator has an absolutely fabulous sense of humor. And laughing is so good for our souls.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Kate thank you. I have a fab poncho that can reverse. I'm hoping to a dd a swing coat also.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

You just made me laugh out loud El Cee thank you I needed that. I'll have to tell my OBGYN that. She keeps telling me I'm an over 40 mum. I'm like I know. Lol

  • annagybe replied 7 years ago

    Love the color combination.
    Maybe this list can help

Thank you Anna so very helpful.

    Hello to you two :)

  • LaPed replied 7 years ago

Ledonna, you might want to check out the zip-in extenders they make for coats. something like this: http://makemybellyfit.com/

I used a similar one in my 3rd trimester and continued to use it after baby was born, so I could carry him on my front in a baby wrap underneath my coat. Once he was born, I also had a fleece poncho with an extra hole for his head to poke through -- cute, cozy, practical. :)

I've been wanting overalls lately, for the first time in years. You make them look adorable!!

  • Ginger Tea replied 7 years ago

I was thinking a cloth coat with a lot of stretch but you're in Chicago so you'll need something really warm. The swing coat sounds like the best option so far to me.

That vest is really cute, btw.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Ginger Tea. Yep a swing coat seems the way to go. Although winter so far has been pretty mild thankfully.

  • BrieN replied 7 years ago

Hi! Glad to see you looking so well! Thanks for keeping us updated on all the goings-on. And good job getting the grip snow boots. :)

  • Jaime replied 7 years ago

Hello Ledonna and mini Ledonna! You are a ray of sunshine as always.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Agreeing with Shevia. Ledonna, you glow.
When I was PG with my March baby, I ended up wearing a coat of my husbands. Get something really big. You might look at men's costs when thrifting. Your little nugget will probably grow a lot yet, but everyone is different. Any tops need to be longer than you can imagine if you don't want bare belly peeking out. Good for you to keep walking and getting as much exercise as you can fit in.
Btw, my mom had a baby ( my brother) when she was over 50. She said that he was the easiest delivery.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Joy thank you for that information I think this is the most healthy I've been because I'm eating healthy and walking. A man's coat is a great suggestion. You mom is amazing.

    Shevia hey and thank you.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

BrieN the grip boots were a top priority thank you.

  • Momo replied 7 years ago
