Looking like a lumberjack...

Or at least that is what my coworker said to me recently. This top/ dress I purchased in multiple colors. They can grow with my changing figure and the look pretty nice going into the fall winter season.

These yoga pants are so so comfortable and I hope professional looking. Tem is in the process of making me a few in different colors. The leather men's belt is old and vintage thrifted long ago. When I'm walking around campus at work I can carry my radio and keys on it. My boots were thrifted new. I love them. On this Day I wanted to take a picture of Tem's casual look he is so thrifty and his boots were a new Thrifty purchase.

Plaid Shirt Dress $9
Vintage Belt $3
Yoga pants $4
Leather Boots new $14

As usual comments are always welcome have a great day.

Lumberjack??? Heck no! You are just too "pretty in plaid" to give that vibe. I adore the shirt dress. The vintage belt is a nice touch. I would not have known that those were yoga pants if you had not mentioned it. They look like bootcut ponte knit pants -- so I think they are a perfect choice for comfortable work attire. You and Tem both have amazing thrifting skills.

I like this look a lot but then I love shirt dresses and have just bought a shirt dress that is similar but in a lighter color plaid which I haven't worn yet. It looks great with the yoga pants, belt, and boots. Tem looks good in his casual outfit, too.

Love it! I think it looks plenty professional.

Are you kidding?  I live in the land of lumberjacks, and you my dear, are not one.  :)

  • Maneera replied 7 years ago

Seriously, you've never looked better, Donna. I absolutely HEART this outfit! <3

Your outfit is totally professional looking, Ledonna, and I love it. I'd  wear it in a heartbeat. No wonder you bought a couple of those plaid dresses. You look fab! Tem looks great too in his casual outfit.

It looks wonderful.  I just saw a shirt-dress in a catalog very similar to yours for $98, so you're right in style!

Lumberjacks and lumberjills are a regular sight where I live - trust me, you look quite feminine and stylish.  Besides, what's wrong with looking like a lumberjack?  :D

Lovely outfit! Love that plaid, very pretty, stylish, not at all  what I'd expect to see on a lumberjack. When I saw your forum posting title the first thing I thought of was the "lumberjack song" by Monty Python. It's rather naughty but completely hysterically with quite a few Canadian references. It's on youtube for anyone who's interested. :-)

Love the long belted plaid on you! And you both have great shoes!

The plaid looks fab! Lovely colours and nice proportions. Tem looks sharp too.

  • Jane replied 7 years ago

I don't think you look like a lumberjack at all. The shirt is lovely, and I like the belted look. Tem's shoes are gorgeous! They have that lived in look, which is cool!

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

Great easygoing style. Your two outfits go nicely together, you and Tem. They are on the same vibe...

Back to your outfit- reminds me of an outfit I saw a girl wearing once. It sent me off on a quest to duplicate it!

You look terrific and I love plaid in the fall -- pretty perfect :)

  • Banoffi replied 7 years ago

Absolutely not!  (but now I have Monty Python's Lumberjack Song going through my head....)

  • Janet replied 7 years ago

I don't see lumberjack, just fabulousness! That's a great tunic/dress, and you and your sweetheart both look killer cool.

  • Kaelyn replied 7 years ago

I have a thing for plaid, so I think your top/dress rocks! And you can't argue with that smile--you look so happy to be wearing it!

  • Barbara Diane replied 7 years ago

You so do not look like a lumberjack!
I like it, and I'm impressed you came up with such a good looking outfit that can grow with you.

El Cee thank you . I work with all men they find my fashion umm fun.

Bonnie I cannot wait to see your fit of the day with your shirt dress.

Barbara Diane I am hoping so it is very comfortable.

Robin F, Kaylee Janet, Sandy G, Diane G, kikidee, Xtabay, Kate, Maneera. Elizabeth p, Robin F. Thank you for the kind words.

Jane Tem's shoes has some type of burnished look it is so nice. Leather boot inside and out. Great because we do alot of walking.

Rachylou I used to wear exclusively plaid in the 80s. Lol it was bad meaning good.

Chris987 & Banoffi I will have to check out that song. Lol you know I love a good one.

Alaska Girl nothing wrong with lumberjacks all all. Some of the most hardest working people. True story. When I was in the military I had to set wooden telephone phones and climb them with these spikes calf gafs. Safety on the telephone pole with a harness and strap. it was oh so fun and scary at the same time. I did that for years.
