I'm still here

Hey YLF Family. I'm still around don't give up on me. I've gone back to lurking but I am still taking pictures and being fab. I'm taking a break from social media. Things have gotten overwhelming laterly. Lol oh boy.

I'm in my last week of my 1st Trimester things were a bit touch and go for a minute. I'm on a self imposed break but I'm reading your fab post inbetween long naps and eating 27 times a day and working my normal 10-12 hrs a day. Whew I'm sleepy just typing that.

One day I'm going to write a post about the reality of being a over 40 pregancy.

Anywho keep us in prayer if you pray and or send us positive energy. Thanks in advance.

This post is also published in the youlookfab forum. You can read and reply to it in either place. All replies will appear in both places.

Be good and kind to yourself.  This is quite a project you've taken on.  Your positive attitude is one of your greatest blessings.  Sending you all the best thoughts and energy for a happy, healthy pregnancy!

    Take care of yourself

  • Diana replied 7 years ago

I was just wondering how you were doing.  Glad to hear all is well. Take care of yourself.

  • catgirl replied 7 years ago

When the doctors say rest, do it! I have friends who thought bed rest meant stay home and clean. Take care of yourself!

  • Lyn D. replied 7 years ago

It is good to hear that you are OK and looking after yourself.

  • Elle replied 7 years ago

Nice to hear from you.  Take good care of yourself and rest as much as you can.  Pregnancy is hard work.

  • Barbara Diane replied 7 years ago

Sorry to hear it was touch and go. Pregnancy can be a very up and down time.

I'm echoing the part about taking care of yourself. This may not be everyone's opinion, but as my ob/gyn doctor said to me, your primary job right now is growing that baby. Rest as much as you can. Having a baby is tiring too.

Thanks for staying in touch. We care about you.

Sending you prayers and good energy.

  • JAileen replied 7 years ago

Do you know yet whether it's a boy or girl?

  • anne replied 7 years ago

So sorry to hear of the pregnancy dangers.

Do rest up! I remember coming home from work and sleeping for  a couple of hours at stages in my pregnancy, and I was not 30! Doing it at our age (I think we are about the same) is tough, Hope Tem is taking care of you!

I can relate to being hungry too!

  • kerlyn replied 7 years ago

Oh, do take care.  Rest up and eat well.  Pregnancy is a lot of work!  Sending lots of positive energy your way!

  • Staysfit replied 7 years ago

Take good care of yourself Ledonna! You and baby are priority! Best wishes to you for a healthy outcome for everyone! Parenthood has been a joy for me for the past 23 years. I hope it will be for you also.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Ledonna, you have been in my thoughts and now in my prayers too.

  • Sally replied 7 years ago

Take care Ledonna. It's a tiring time. I only knew I was pregnant because I couldn't work out why I would go home and sleep for 10 hours then my iron levels sunk to an all time low. Rest as much as you can...you will be craving rest when the baby comes.

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

Rest rest rest and more rest!! :)

It's so good to hear from you. I got sleepy just reading what you're doing on 'normal' days! Being pregnant can be hard work so please don't overdo it. Sending prayers, write when you can.

  • viva replied 7 years ago

So glad you are well, Ledonna. Rest up.

  • Elizabeth P replied 7 years ago

Take care of yourself and that peanut, Ladonna!  thanks for checking in.

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Alaska Girl had to hire someone to help me straighten up clean and get ready for fall winter because I've been so sleepy. I tried to think about cleaning but gave up lol. I can maintain after the deep cleaning change over. Lol

Jaileen not sure boy/girl I want to know and I don't like being suprised. Intresting

Sally I'm anemic so iron is low, eating foods rich in iron and trying to be healthy but still tired right now 10 to 12 hours and naps. Weekends forget about it. Lol

SandyG you have me laughing but it's true.

Thank you family for the positive vibes maybe I'll post my sunday church looks. I love dressing for church.

Tem and my huge extended family are taking great care of me. Tem and I go on walks on the weekend.

I try to get a bit of exercise in during the week day. I eat walk around the block at work downtown Chicago or walk down few flights of stairs then I get sleepy and eat again. I do work inbetween lol

I'll be 43 by the time our little one is born and Tem will be 48 hmmmm. Lol oh boy.

Sending lots of positive vibes your way! As everyone has already said, taking care of yourself is #1 priority, whatever it takes :-) I have very good friends who adopted a baby at similar ages to you and Tem and now have an active, healthy, and fun 14-year old boy....it all worked out very well...although the mom didn't start out exhausted from pregnancy like you will be LOL...take it easy and as Angie said one day at a time.

  • replied 7 years ago

I'll keep you in my prayers. Take care of yourself!

Ledonna so great to hear that things are going well. I remember being very tired and ill in my first trimester - but the second one was much better. So hoping that you feel better as you move into this next exciting stage of your pregnancy. God bless you, the baby and Tem.

  • Echo replied 7 years ago

I am so glad to hear from you, and I am glad that your pregnancy remains healthy. The first trimester fatigue is very difficult, but it gets better! And please post your Sunday looks; we miss you!
