I had to share...

We're having a GIRL.

Hey family!

So I was gonna wait until Monday but, I could not contain my joy. So here we are literally right after the Ultrasound 5 months 22 weeks and 1 day. Little nugget is gonna be as silly as her mommy.

Her hobbies include:
1 ) running from ultrasound cameras.
2 ) flips and swimming when trying to monitor heartbeat.
3)blowing bubbles, lots a lots of bubles.

Almost every picture 13 in all had her blowing bubbles.

In order to get the pictures I had to finally lay on my side it was so funny.

Let's see on to the clothing. I've worn this peplum top before. I chose to layer my denim cold shoulder button up top underneath. Denim jeggins and new winter boots from Payless men's section they are snow boots but they look good. My black jacket was a moto and so comfy cute.

My new coat with room for expansion is just what I needed in our blizzard. The snow is really coming down. I saw the Top of this outfit in a inspiration photo. I wanted the wool hat but it did not look right on my head. In wanting to wear jewelry less and less.

After the Dr's appointment I had errands to run. And I got to participate in another Veterans event. This time for women. 100 women from Navy, Army, Airforce, Marine, and Coast Guard. The event was called Pretty Purses Honoring women Veterans. It was an amazing event.

I was so blessed. I love volunteering and communing with my Sisters in Arms. It is so empowering. One Veteran made the most beautiful hand crafted quilt. Red white, and blue and I was blessed to receive it for little nugget.

Last picture is the inspiration photo.

Well I guess that is it for now. Thank you all so much once again.

So exciting to know, congratulations!! Is that going to influence how you decorate her room or anything?
That leopard peplum top in particular looks fabulous on you.

Congrats! I love the layered cold shoulder top. I have to admit that even after 3 kids, ultrasound pictures just look like blobs to me. I'll have to take your word on the girl thing. Very exciting! Now you can get serious about names (don't tell anyone the name until after the baby is born - if you tell them before she's born, everyone will have an opinion, afterwards they can't really say anything other than "pretty name".)

Sara L. I had to have the Tech point it out to me I did not even know. Lol. I have a name but am not sharing.

    Emily K. Awe thank you

Barbara Diane on the hunt now.

Grandfashionista I have absolutely no idea lol

What fun to be expecting a little girl! You look radiant. I am so glad that you have boots and a coat that will keep you and that baby girl warm. I love how you made the inspiration picture your own.
Be sure to have a boy's name ready just in case. We were told DS2 was a girl. Surprise! We didn't have a boy's name. He has never been happy with the name he ended up with.

Hey Joy thanks so much. The name chosen is interchangeable. I admit I did not know what I was looking at when we were told a girl.

    Deluded thanks

I am also glad that you found a good coat and that the boots that you are wearing will keep you safe in the Winter in your area. Plus, your attitude is the very best, I also get a nice boost from reading your posts.

Such exciting news! Sounds like your bubbly Little Nugget girl is a bit of an athlete. :-) On top of the athletic abilities she will, no doubt, inherit her Mom's (and Dad's) fabulous fashion sense. I see some leopard onesies in her future.

A GIRL!!! I am so excited for you and Tem. That image of your little bubble blower cracked me up. i think Nugget is practicing her Mama's beautiful smile, so upon her introduction to the world she can beam right back at you.

That leopard-patterned peplum is jaw-droppingly wonderful--you look beautiful!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 7 years ago

Congratulations! Glad everything is going smoothly. How funny to hear your story about trying to get the ultrasound pictures amid the bubbles. Love the outfit--it's super cool. I like how you strike a great balance between tough and feminine with it. And I'm glad you have a nice warm coat that will work for your pregnancy--the weather's getting pretty wicked!

  • Maneera replied 7 years ago

Congrats!!! I bet the little nugget will be just as fierce, strong and fashionable as her mama!!!

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

Thank you all so much. This was a joy to the family. My extended family is so close and we have so many women. Everyone thought nugget was go8ng to be a boy. So they have been buying boy clothing. Lol, I don't mind she will have a mix if things to wear.

We have chosen a name. That was done so very early on. It was a work in progress but now it's settled upon and I am looking forward to sharing.

I want to put here in one of those mommy and me swim classes. I learned from my mom how to swim early and was on the H.S. competitive team swimming the 500 meter free.

Thank you all for journeying with me and sharing in my joy.
