A day out at play.

Hey Family!

Saturday was the 1st time in 5 months I've been out. I had an OBGYN appointment on Saturday morning and got the all clear from her to have a good day just take it easy.

So I got my life lol. I had so much fun. My world kind of narrowed with being pregnant with baby nugget and winter in the Chi. Spring called for an awakening. I heard Diana Ross singing "I'm coming OUT" in my head all day.

I had 2 Dr's appointments and a early Thrift Tea Brunch celebrating Mother's Day. Later in the evening i went to a jazz set where I met up with family and friends. Inbetween events I had about 3-4 hrs of sleep. Babby Nugget and i had a great day. I was able to introduce her to part if my world.

The Brunch was so much fun. This is the 2nd Annual event and I was afraid i was going to miss it. It is a highlight of the beginning of spring for me. Women coming together on one accord to celebrate each other. What i like to say this is the stuff they don't put on the news.

I wore a fit I talked about eariler on here aking opinions about. Its a short set with a long train or skirt attached. I posted a few weeks ago but my baby bump has turned into a baby mountain. I think the fit still worked.

Accessories included all thrifted red boots a beautiful hat (That i gave to another lady at the event becausr it fit her so well) silver earrings and a wrist cuff. The dress short had a deep v that i was not comfortable with so i wore a blue tank underneath.

The last event was a jazz blues set with family and friends. So it was a bit rainy and cold so I wore the same thing minus the hat. I changed into my vivid green headwrap.

    Wow! You look so well and happy. Great outfits! It looks like you had a great day out. The colours in the short set with dress are so fresh. So good to see you reconnect with your world! Well done with the rest in between.

    Happy, fun and festive as always. When is your due date, Ledonna? And how is Tem? We haven't see him for a while.

    Angie I'm due in 2 weeks. Tem and I are no longer a couple but will be awesome co-parents.

    You look fab and so happy. I'm so glad you had a fun, special day.
    I almost sent you a private message asking about Tem as I had also noticed his absence. Glad he will be a good co-parent. I know many, many, many women do it alone but I was sure glad to have help. And it's wonderful that you have a village of love around you.

    You look amazing (as always!) That brunch looks like a wonderful tradition to start. It it inspiring to see women coming together to enjoy each other. I am long overdue for organizing an event for the women in my life. Hopefully your inspiration will rub off on me.

    What a stylish crowd of women you hang out with. Even in the pics, I can feel the love in that room! Why am I not surprised you genorously gave away your hat?
    Your shorts/dress thingy is terrific - love the colors!
    Glad you had an evening out, too! Wish we could hear the jazz combo.
    Whoa, has that nugget grown! It's good to hear her dad will be an involved co-parent - it really does take a village!

    Ryce Karen 13 Barbara Diane. Thank you so much. I had such an enjoyable day. It was such a beautiful time and baby nugget gave me not one bit of trouble.

    Thank you also for the supportive encouraging words. Couples break up and i really did not know jow to say it. Angie bless her heart opened the door simply by knocking. I answered it just as simply by stating the truth. Thank you Angie.

    Thanks for sharing your wonderful brunch with us. That's a gorgeous dress for a baby mountain. Can't choose between the hat and the wrap. 

    So sorry to hear you've parted from Tem, but glad to know you'll be together as parents. And fingers crossed for the arrival of the Nugget. As Ryce says, it takes a village and yours looks like a wonderful neighbourhood. She's chosen a good mom!

    Approprio thank you i loved the hat but it was a flee market find. I knew i would not wear it again because my hair is growing big and wild. I was happy to give a good new home. The Kelly green headwrap goes with everything.

    I love baby mountain lol. Sometimes people vreak up and that's okay. I pray we are going to be wonderful vo-parents for bab. I'm so happy i was chosen to be her mommy.

    You are simply awesome Ledonna. You are the ultimate style icon because your pregnancy style is not about being pregnant but about being you (who happens to be pregnant). Your pictures are joyful. I hope you have a wonderful birth whenever little nugget decides to sing "I'm coming out" with you.

    I can see why you didn't want to miss this event, Ledonna. The fun and joy just jump right off the screen. You look as wonderful as ever. I'm very sorry to hear about Tem, but glad that you have an amazing support network in place to help once Baby Nugget arrives.
